Partners: Norway, Bulgaria, Slovenia and the Czech Republic.

 The project does researches in the partner countries’ good practices concerning drop-outs and the opportunities for their education and getting jobs. A model for psychological support is developed as well as ways to encourage them to go back to school. The model also offers different opportunities for getting a professional qualification.

TITLE OF THE PROJECT: TEACHERS’QUALIFICATION AND STUDENTS’MOTIVATION AS A DETRIMENTAL FACTOR IN YOUNG PEOPLE FROM THE MINORITIES SOCIAL RELISATION

Participants: Teachers and students from Hristo Botev High School, the ‘Éducation and Business’ Partner Organisation .

 

Students from three ethnicity groups study in the school-Bulgarians, Turkish and Roma.

The aim of the project is increasing teachers’ qualifications in their work in a multicultural environment. One of the objects is getting to know and accepting the differences as a source of knowledge for the other person and enriching personal culture. A number of teacher trainings were carried out. The project activities were in three of the issues of the school newspaper. A ‘Teacher-Parents Collaboration’ club was founded. A lot of topical books were bought for the school library. The end of the project was stated with a big concert under the motto “We are different but we sing and play together for you”.
